The Untitled Interview #93 – SXSW Edition: Starring Sensual Harassment

The days are getting longer, the nights are getting shorter and sweeter, and that, my little vixens, can only mean one thing: it's getting close to being almost time for the one and only SXSW. And of course, that means I had to ask some questions of the bands I'd sure want to see if I was heading down to Austin for the 25th annual SXSW-stravaganza.

When Sensual Harassment's in town, y'all, it's time to get daggum down. These good-time dancefloor rockalicious hooligans have taken their act to Austin, and I've no doubt much dancing and debauchery has been, and will be, going on. Check out how these lads of loudness will be enjoying themselves. And if you've got any extra hot sauce, well, I'm sure they'd be stoked.

Les Enfants Terribles: How are you getting to SXSW: plane, train, or automobile?
Sensual Harassment: Two words: Minivan Highway.

LET: Inevitably, you will forget to pack:
SH: Hot sauce and our high hat stand.

LET: How many showcases/parties will you be playing?
SH: 3 so far -

-Wed 3/16 Hotel Vegas 5:30PM
-Thurs 3/17 SXSMonstrocity 2514 Wilson St 6:45PM
-Sat 3/19 Karibu Party @ Karibu Ethiopian Restaurant 7:00PM

LET: Band you're most looking forward to seeing at the festival?
SH: Our touring mates Fan-Tan have been killing it so far. Can't wait to see them in Austin.

LET: What's the first thing you plan on doing upon arrival in Austin?
SH: Skinny-dipping. It should be like 85 degrees when we arrive.

LET: What was the first festival you ever attended, either as a musician or member of the general public?
SH: Some redneck blues festival in North Carolina where we are originally from. Part of some weird chicken wing festival or something.

LET: Favorite thing about festivals?
SH: Free tacos!

Megan's Top 70 of 2010: #67 - Sensual Harassment

Why I Decree it to Be So:

You know me, I'm a sucker for anything that's even the slightest bit over the top. And starting with their ridiculously campy album cover, Sensual Harassment is nothing if not over the top. Alpha Draconis bubbles and fizzes its way from silly, synthy dancefloor dreamland to some harder, darker, deadlier nightmarishly wicked and wacky moments of dancerock sass. Whatever angle they happen to take, Sensual Harassment knows how to show a gal a damn good time. Put this on when those good times need to get themselves rollin'.
