Terrible Chris' Fave Albums of 2010, Part the 2nd

i know, i know, you were so blown away by yesterday's list, you're wondering if you can take anymore. All the money i spend up in this bitch, you best believe you are.

6. Alex B, Moments--i dig Alex B's sound in a BIG way. Possibly my favorite beat album of the year.

7. Teebs, Ardour--Or maybe this one. Both were damn fine beat records. 'Nuff said.

8. Grinderman, Grinderman II--i've said it before, and i'll say it again--i can only hope and pray that my mid-life crisis sounds 1/100th this kick ass. This, my friends, is gutter rock blues at its finest.

9. Big Boi, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty--The until-now-less-heard-from-half of Outkast proves his worth and then some on perhaps the best rap CD of 2010.

10. Erykah Badu, New Amerykah, Part Two (Return of the Ankh)--Ms. Badu continues her perfection of odd funk and R&B.

ED. NOTE: ALL MP3 LINKS WERE REMOVED FROM THIS POST AS DICTATED BY THE MAN.

Artist Profile: Lil' Wayne

Apropos of nothing beyond me having watched VH1's Behind the Music on Lil' Weezy last night, here's a sampler of Lil' Wayne tracks for your Saturday enjoyment. For a cat that doesn't write down any of his rhymes, he's surprisingly spry on the mic. i think my favorite part of the show, however, was his explaining about the two bullet fragments still in his chest following an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound at the age of 12. i'm paraphrasing here, but he used words to the effect of "I've still got two pieces of metal in my chest, too close to my heart for the doctor's to remove. It's cool, though, they ain't moving around or nothing. I mean, unless I get caught in an electro-magnetic field or something."

Indeed, sir. Indeed.

The Greatest Mostly Jingoistic U.S. Mix You Ever Will Hear

Since i may or may not be either hosting or attending a BBQ tomorrow, i'm dropping The Greatest Mostly Jingoistic U.S. Mix You Ever Will Hear today. i'm not a huge flag waver, but i do love making mixes, so i guess Uncle Sam's semi-loyal are the winners here. Or, if you're not from here and/or harbor reasonable, less than complimentary feelings in our direction, play this at your "ironic" Americans are Wankers party. See how music can bring us all together in a non-violent, in this case condescending way like that?
